Bre and Jonathan- Maternity

“Just when you think you know love, something little comes along to remind you just how big it really is.”

Meet Jonathan and Bre! I have known Bre since High School. Even though we don’t see each other much, I love catching up when we get the chance! I was soooo excited to get a message from her asking my availability for a maternity session!

The session started out a little chilly but luckily the rain and wind held together long enough for us to get some awesome pictures!

As I started taking pictures I noticed that Jonathan was a little stiff and very serious, I said “Why so serious, this may be a little nerve-racking having a baby but I know how excited you are.” I was able to get some great shots of them and the interaction between them is pure love! I don’t know Jonathan that much but I do know that he is very sweet and is VERY excited to be a dad!

Both Bre and Jonathan are going to make amazing parents. They both are very hard workers but love unconditionally. As a parent you have to give so much of yourself that you come last but when I was talking about that Bre was actually so excited to have it be about their new little girl than about her. The selfless act of a mother who hasn’t even had her baby yet, how amazing is that?

This is the first part of a two part blog so make sure to catch the second part after little miss is born! I can not wait for that part either! I try to get my baby fix where I can (cuz after twins, we all know that I am done)!

I know how to work around the light and so I had picked a gorgeous bridge at Fox run and I wanted to get a picture of them with this adorable wood sign that Bre had made in front of them…it had been cloudy and perfect the whole time, but as we walked over to the spot, the sun came out and was blinding them…we walked a little bit more and got some other pictures, but it seemed like every time I wanted to get that one shot the sun would come out!  It made for some fun, fast photos, and blurring them in the background made for a super cute picture that the sun didn’t affect at all!

Can you believe she is 38 weeks along and only has 2 weeks till her due date? She is adorable!!! Her bump is so cute you wouldn’t even believe she was that far along!

The picture below was awesome…I was doing the traditional initials in focus and then have Bre and Jonathan out of focus…I got one and then luckily I caught this gem of Jonathan and then Bre’s expression! This is one of my favorites because it was so unexpected!

Kyndall Maternity Portrait Session

“A grand adventure is about to begin”

Kyndall maternity (23 of 46)

Having a baby is life altering and whether or not you think you are ready, you hardly ever are. As a mom, you learn and grow with your baby, and if you are lucky enough, you have a partner to help you with this life event. Kyndall has Izaiha and lets just say they are absolutely perfect for each other. They compliment each other in almost every way and you can tell from your immediate interaction with them how much they truly care and love each other.

Kyndall and Izaiha met when he was a junior and she was a sophomore in high school. They were friends first but quickly came to realize how much they truly cared for each other. Relationships are always hard but I always find it neat when couples are friends before an actual couple. Its a different dynamic and it either works or it doesn’t. Kyndall and Izaiha work!

At one point in the shoot I showed Izaiha the back of my camera and I made the comment “Wow, that is your fiance” and he responded with “I know, she is a 10.” Through out the shoot when I was just photographing Kyndall I would take a glance at Izaiha and the look on his face was a mix of love and admiration.

The way you look at your partner says a lot about your feelings for them and you can tell how much Izaiha cherishes Kyndall.

We did this shoot at Fox Run Park and wow was it gorgeous. It is one of my new favorite places to shoot at. This weeks weather has been crazy…temperatures all over the place and LOTS AND LOTS of rain and hail. Luckily for us there was a clearing right when we decided to do the session. The grass was wet but so green which made for amazing contrast and pop in the pictures, as you can see! There were clouds in the sky so we didn’t have to limit the locations because of direct sunlight.

I was so lucky to do Kyndalls maternity pictures and can not wait to meet little Laikynn. Hopefully shortly we will get some engagement pictures done because these two are getting married next year!

Best of luck to you both on this new adventure of your lives…best thing ever!

Thanks for reading about Kyndall, Izaiha and Baby Laikynn. Stay tuned weekly for new blogs and stories that are captivating and inspirational.

Love Always,

Gibbs Gender Reveal

“You make beautiful things, you make beautiful things out of the dust. You make beautiful things out of us” A song that carries a lot of meaning for this amazing family!

My friend Jami is one of the most compassionate and loving people I have known. Her and Jake were destined to be together and it makes me so happy that they have such a beautiful family of five…SOON TO BE SIX!

Jami and I met when we were in college in Joplin, MO and we were instantly inseparable. We had a lot of fun together and I was lucky to see the beginning of her and Jake’s relationship. They got married in Florida and I was a bridesmaid. We have stayed close even though our lives may be completely different and we live over 1000 miles away from each other. Jake and Jami are such giving people and they truly have hearts of gold.

My family and I went on a long road trip and we stopped in Florida for Disney World. On the way home from Disney World we would pass through Jami’s town and so I reached out to her to see if we could stay with her overnight one night. I also wanted to do something nice for her so I offered to do a family shoot. Little did I know that the family shoot would be so much more than that. When we got to her house I was confused because there were a ton of cars in the driveway. I gave her a call to make sure we were in the right place and my adorable Jami walked out of the house. She was so cute in her white and black dress! I ran and gave her a hug and then we introduced the kids to each other. She then told me that there were so many cars there because her family was there for a gender reveal party!!! SAY WHAT??? I didn’t even know she was pregnant so i was shocked and since I hadn’t seen her in so long, I didn’t notice the little baby bump she had! I grabbed my camera (and the family lol) and headed inside to see all of the people I had seen years before at Jake and Jami’s wedding!!!

A little back story about Jake and Jami’s journey to have kids: “I had two miscarriages between Genesis and Gracen. We got pregnant with Genesis right away when we decided to try but with Gracen it took us a year to conceive and then we lost two so by the time we conceived him it took about 18 months. When Gracen was born we were just so happy to have been able to have another that we never really thought about having more. Then when he turned one we said we’d give it til one of us turned 30 to have another one and if we lost again or didn’t get pregnant by then, we’d be done. We got pregnant with Jude immediately and were convinced he was our last. Now surprise!”

So after having one girl and two boys the newer addition is…..drum roll please……
